Dematerialization of the application process

Terms for the obtention of the license, prior approval, and payment of related fees are all available online now.

 

Launching of an insurance

  • 10-year insurance covering the building
  • Insurance to improve quality control, before and after construction

 

Control of quality during and after construction

Field visits are organized throughout construction

A battery of inspections are conducted:

  • An inspection by an external engineer
  • An inspection at various stages of construction
  • An inspection to assess risks
  • A final inspection by a government body

The inspections are carried out on all three types of buildings

 

Compulsory credentials for the expert in charge of the construction’s supervision

Qualifications required for the person in charge of technical control include a masters’ degree in architecture, engineering, construction or construction management, and at least two years of work experience with an attestation proof.

Besides these, experts in environmental management and social law, or any person with an equivalent degree can also proceed to technical control, for category C buildings”.

 

Delays and procedures reduced

Permits can be obtained within 10 days (if all application documents are provided as required).

The issuance fee for A, B, and C permits is XOF100 per gross square meter.
