(Togo First) - Yawo Foly Adzomada is the executive director of Assilassimé Solidarité, a Togolese social microfinance institution established in 2012 by Entrepreneurs du Monde to serve vulnerable people excluded from the mainstream financial system. He leads the institution’s operations.
Assilassimé operates about 10 branches across Togo, including in Lomé, through a group-lending model based on joint liability that requires neither collateral nor prior savings. The model is complemented by social support and training in agroecology.
Under Yawo Foly Adzomada’s leadership, Assilassimé is guided by the principles of the social and solidarity economy. The institution offers microcredit, savings and financial education services, as well as clean cooking and lighting equipment. Its beneficiaries include people living with HIV, people with disabilities, widows and single mothers.
