Alassane Kaboré, the Banker Behind Coris Bank Togo's Expansion

(Togo First) - A specialist in financial engineering and risk management, Alassane Kaboré is a Burkinabè banking executive who graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) and the Institute of Banking Techniques.

Since 2011, he has held senior positions within the Coris Bank International group, beginning his career there as a Corporate Relationship Manager at Coris Bank International Burkina Faso.

Kaboré was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Coris Bank International Togo on July 2, 2018, succeeding Sanou Seydou, who moved to a leadership role within the group’s holding company.

Prior to his appointment, he served as Risk Director at Coris Bank Mali, where he earned recognition for delivering strong results and strengthening the bank’s risk-management framework.

Over seven years at the helm, he has overseen a significant expansion of the bank’s presence in Togo. As of September 2024, Coris Bank International Togo reported total assets of 528 billion CFA francs, making it the country’s third-largest bank by assets.

The bank operates a network of 17 branches and 16 ATMs, with a strong nationwide presence serving nearly 80,000 banking clients and 196,000 mobile-wallet users.

A major milestone came in 2024 with the inauguration of the bank’s new headquarters in Souza Nétimé, located in the heart of Lomé.

Among his most notable achievements are the launch of Coris Money, the expansion of Islamic banking services, and the planned introduction of the MyCoris Bank mobile banking platform, designed to provide customers with a comprehensive digital banking experience.
