Bangladeshi Cosmos Group plans to build high capacity solar plants in Togo

(Togo First) - Bangladeshi Cosmos Group, specialized in the extractive industry and renewable energies, is planning to build solar plants with important energy generation capacity in Togo.

A meeting between Marc Ably-Bidamon, Togo’s mines and energy minister, and the group’s managers, on October 4, 2018, in New Delhi, in the framework of the general assembly of the International Solar Alliance, confirmed Cosmos Group’s intention. “Togo is interested in the project and, it has started technical studies of the spot”, the minister indicated adding that “the study will at first identify the needs and the localities where the units are urgently needed before initiating feasibility studies and the implementation of this project”.

He also adds that once the studies are approved, the government will launch a tender process according to the standards in public procurement.

Let’s remind that during a visit in Togo, the Bangladeshi based conglomerate emitted the idea of establishing a local subsidiary. “Having the opportunity to meet you is already a big milestone passed by the company”, one of Cosmos group’s management said talking to the minister.
