E-Agribusiness lands deal with Chinese Quanfeng Aviation to promote utilization of farming drones in West Africa

(Togo First) - Last Saturday, Dona Etchri, the Togolese entrepreneur and founder of the E-agribusiness platform, said he has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement for West Africa with Chinese Group Quanfeng Aviation specialized in precision farming.

This should enable Togo to secure a major position in the agro-tech industry across the region.

In effect, under the agreement, a centre for the training of agricultural drones’ pilots and in precision farming was created, at the end of which an international certificate will be issued. In addition to training, the platform will also provide spreader drone services to farmers in villages.

Another key point of the new partnership includes the construction in Togo of a drone factory in “the near future,” to serve the whole region.

Last, E-Agribusiness which had a goal to deploy 125 farm drones to modernize Togolese agriculture now aims at training every year 500 certified pilots, in each West African country, thus making a total of 8,000 pilots yearly, all things leveraging Togo as a base.
