Togo farm agency to hire 153 workers as mechanization program expands

(Togo First) - Togo’s Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA) is recruiting 153 staff on fixed-term contracts from March to July 2026 as it expands its cantonal mechanized work enterprise programme (ETCM).

The vacancies include 24 supervisors for rural mechanized work enterprises and 139 tractor operators.

Applicants for supervisor roles must have training in agronomy, rural engineering or a related field, along with experience coordinating agricultural activities. Tractor operators must have experience operating and maintaining agricultural machinery.

Established in 2022 and fully operational since 2023, ATA aims to modernize Togo’s agricultural sector by addressing structural productivity constraints through mechanization, contract farming, hydro-agricultural development and value chain development. Its programmes are designed to strengthen farmers’ incomes, improve food security and promote market-oriented agriculture, in line with national economic transformation priorities.

The agency says it has provided mechanization and technical assistance to more than 10,000 farmers in rural areas since becoming operational in 2023.
