Togo telecom regulator to survey mobile users from May 26

(Togo First) - Togo’s telecommunications regulator, the Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques et des postes (ARCEP), will launch a nationwide customer satisfaction survey on May 26 targeting users of mobile services.

The survey aims to assess consumer views on the quality of services provided by mobile operators across the country.

Subscribers will be asked to rate several aspects of telecom services, including call quality, network coverage, mobile internet access, network reliability and complaints handling.

ARCEP said the campaign would also help identify consumer expectations amid growing use of digital services and mobile internet in Togo. The results will be used to track changes in operator performance and guide future regulatory measures.

ARCEP has conducted similar surveys regularly since 2022. In the 2024 edition, more than 15,000 consumers took part in the nationwide survey.

The results showed that the overall customer satisfaction rate rose to 51% in 2024 from 44% in 2023.

In detail, 58% of Moov Africa Togo subscribers said they were satisfied with the services provided, compared with 47% of Togo Cellulaire customers.

Despite the improvement, consumers continued to complain about high prices and persistent network and service quality issues, according to the ARCEP report.
