Togo football federation approves 3.9 bln CFA francs budget for 2026

(Togo First) - Togo’s Football Federation (FTF) plans to mobilise 3.9 billion CFA francs to finance its operations in the 2026 financial year, according to a budget approved at the federation’s ordinary congress in Lomé over the weekend.

The budget represents a 2.6% increase from the 3.8 billion CFA francs allocated in 2025 and an 8.3% rise from 2024 levels.

The funds will support efforts to professionalise Togolese football, improve infrastructure and continue reforms within the sector. One of the federation’s main projects is ongoing work on the national technical training centre in Gbavé.

Part of the budget will also finance domestic competitions, including first- and second-division championships, regional leagues and youth tournaments, as well as training programmes for football officials.

Most funding is expected to come from FIFA, alongside contributions from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Togolese government and private partners.
