Togo: A group of students launch a contest to promote innovation and entrepreneurship

(Togo First) - A group of young students launched the Eurêka Awards which, according to a source close to the group, aim to stimulate innovation and taste for entrepreneurship among Togolese youth.

Eurêka Awards will reward projects that provide answers to issues identified in Africa, and Togo especially. These projects have to deal with socioeconomic challenges faced in the ICT, agriculture and finance sectors, among others.

The “contest also aims to showcase Togolese geniuses . Its promoters strongly believe that “Togo’s youth is a true lever for economic boom”.

In detail, for each covered sector, the contestant with the best solution, according to designed jury, will win the awards. Subsequently, the winners will be monitored throughout the development of their project and will receive financial support from incubators.
