Togo and Tony Blair Institute Strengthen Partnership for Economic Development

(Togo First) - Togo's Prime Minister Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé and a delegation from the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) met on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to discuss the progress of projects implemented with the Institute's support.  Tony Blair, the Institute's president, led the delegation.

The appraisal focused on the TBI's assistance in implementing Togo's 2020-2025 government roadmap. Both parties noted progress, particularly in energy, industrial strategy, and agriculture projects.  "I have seen Togo's progress and realize that the authorities intend to achieve great ambitions for the people with all the assets and opportunities the country has," Tony Blair told PM Dogbé.

Building on these advancements, the two sides agreed to establish a new partnership framework to further project implementation. This renewed partnership aims to bolster government action for the Togolese people, leveraging the country's strengths and opportunities.

The Tony Blair Institute, founded by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, is committed to promoting fair globalization for all. With projects spanning 14 African countries, the Institute channels its expertise and experience to support the continent's economies, particularly focusing on key areas like tropical agriculture.
