Togo Showcases Cosmetics Industry at Beauty Istanbul 2026

(Togo First) - Togo took part last week in Beauty Istanbul 2026, an international cosmetics trade fair held in Turkey, as the country sought to promote its cosmetics industry to global buyers and partners.

The event brought together more than 1,400 exhibitors from 65 countries and attracted thousands of visitors.

The Togolese delegation, led by the Togo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-Togo), included several local cosmetics companies presenting locally manufactured products.

Positioned as a hub linking manufacturers and buyers from the Middle East, the Balkans, Africa and Asia, the fair gave Togolese firms an opportunity to present their products, engage with potential partners and keep abreast of global industry trends.

The event also enabled participating companies to expand their business networks, explore international partnerships and gain exposure to international industry standards.

CCI-Togo said the country's participation in the fair could help improve the visibility of Togolese companies amid growing global demand for cosmetics products.

After moving from the 133rd to 127th place under the 2020 Doing Business’ construction permit index, Togo intends to reiterate this feat in the coming edition of the global ranking. To this end, it has introduced this year multiple reforms.

Owing this performance to multiple reforms aimed at making it easier for businesses to access power and water, Lomé plans to introduce even more reforms this year to keep up its improvements.

Out of all the 'Doing Business’ indicators, Property Registration is where Togo has improved the most since 2018. Indeed, after spending years in the lowest part of this ranking, the country now seeks to beat Rwanda which is the best performer on this index in Africa. To do so, Lomé has been introducing many reforms, with the latest batch implemented this year.
