(Togo First) - Togo's small business development agency ADTPME has launched a call for applications from agro-industry operators under a programme aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs across employment-generating value chains.
The Agency for the Development of Very Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (ADTPME) plans to select and support 50 small and micro enterprises through the initiative, which is part of the PAJEC programme supporting young entrepreneurs in sectors with strong job-creation potential.
Eligible businesses are those able to help strengthen agricultural value chains through the supply of raw materials, processing activities and the marketing of agricultural products. Targeted commodities include cassava, maize, soybeans, fonio, sesame, shea nuts, rice, pineapples, cashew nuts, amaranth and medicinal plants. The programme also covers livestock and aquaculture activities, including goat and sheep farming, poultry production, tilapia and catfish farming, as well as hive products such as honey.
Applicants must be formally registered businesses with at least two to three years of operating experience, depending on their profile, and demonstrate a proven capacity to supply products. They must also show financial viability and established market channels.
The 50 selected enterprises will receive technical and financial support, including assistance in upgrading production equipment, accessing financing and developing new markets. The companies will join the programme in phases according to their value chains and regions.
According to a notice relayed by the ministry responsible for grassroots development, financial inclusion and youth employment, applications will be accepted until June 17, 2026.
