CETEF Kicks Off Second Edition of Health and Wellness Fair

(Togo First) - The second edition of the Health and Wellness Fair (HUMANIS 2026) officially opened on Tuesday in Lomé. Organized by Centre Togolais des Expositions et Foires de Lomé (CETEF), the five-day event aims to promote preventive healthcare through awareness campaigns, screening sessions and free medical consultations.

This year's edition is intended to serve as a platform for discussion and action, bringing together stakeholders working to improve public health and well-being. Healthcare professionals, public institutions, civil society organizations and citizens are invited to discuss issues related to prevention and access to healthcare services.

Held under the theme, “Your Health, Your Responsibility: Prevent to Live Better,” the event seeks to encourage healthier lifestyles and the adoption of positive health habits.

According to the organizers, the central message is that maintaining good health depends not only on access to healthcare services but also on the everyday choices and habits of individuals.

“Our ambition is to establish the Health and Wellness Fair as a leading national platform, bringing professionals, institutions and communities together around a common objective: building a healthier, better-informed and more resilient society,” Alexandre de Souza, director-general of CETEF, said.

Among the highlights of this year's edition are free medical consultations offered at the event site. The initiative is intended in particular to improve access to healthcare for vulnerable populations and enhance the early detection of diseases. Through this approach, CETEF aims to help reduce disparities in access to healthcare and promote a culture of prevention among the Togolese population.
