In Togo, key players active in chili, okra and cassava sectors will soon receive agricultural inputs, tools, and infrastructure as part of the "Promotion of Horticultural Sectors in Togo" (PROFIT) project. The support, falls under a recently-launched in-kind grant program. This will help recipients be more productive and better positioned in the local and international markets.

Beneficiaries mainly fall under three groups: microfinance institutions, businesses, and cooperatives. Applications must be submitted via email before July 30, 2025, with the relevant category noted in the email subject line.

Backed by the United States Department of States of Agriculture (USDA) and the Togolese Ministry of Agriculture, the PROFIT is an initiative of the Lutheran World Relief. Launched last year, the project aims to benefit 25,000 producers and establish 1,000 cooperatives.
