8th Togo Top Impact Awards Begin With Renewed Social Focus

(Togo First) - The eighth edition of “Togo Top Impact,” an event celebrating notable personalities and initiatives, was launched with a stronger focus on social impact, the organiser said on Saturday.

The programme, led by the National Organization for Excellence and Holistic Development of Togo (ONEDI-Togo), will emphasize tangible social-impact actions. It includes a community activity on Jan. 27, 2026, allowing participants to support local communities through solidarity initiatives and participatory projects. A sports day with an eco-jog will also be held on Jan. 23 to promote civic engagement, well-being, and environmental awareness.

Togo Top Impact is not only a platform to recognize talent; it is also an opportunity to rally our efforts for the good of communities. We want everyone to leave motivated to make a difference,” said Ali Tossa, general manager of Togo Top Impact.

This year’s edition also introduces new initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and creativity. Its theme is: “Through diversity, celebrating the talents and cultures that shape Africa today.” A new category will honour the best young business leader. The programme also highlights cultural and creative initiatives, including a high-level forum on Jan. 30, 2026, on “Tourism and Artificial Intelligence: an opportunity for the African creative economy.

Awards will be given in about fifteen categories, grouped into three sets: fundamental, popular, and continental. The fundamental categories will recognise personalities such as the Best Young Leader of the Year. The popular categories will highlight women’s initiatives and content creators, while the continental categories will honour people working to advance African integration.

The list of nominees will be published on Dec. 15, 2025. Public voting will run from Dec. 17 to Jan. 13, while the jury will deliberate from Jan. 16 to Jan. 25. Voting for the popular categories will remain open until Jan. 30.

A gala evening will close the event on Jan. 31, 2026, at the Hotel Sarakawa, where 400 guests are expected.
